Experience

Major Boston Area Financial Services Firm (2008 to present).  Sub-contractor to a premier New York City consulting firm as a project manager for an Internet web portal.

The RIA portal presents daily reports, positions, transactions, balances, and regulatory documents to about 500 external and 200 internal users.  Successful completion of the Portal Release 1 was a key selling point in both maintaining existnig client relationships and bringing new client revenue to an institutional division of this firm. 

Executive Director, Morgan Stanley, New York, NY (1992 to 2008). 

2007-2008: Led a SWAT team to rebuild Listed Derivatives mainframe system knowledge lost by attrition, and stabilize daily system processing. Up to 25% improvement in key areas.

2004-2007: Managed a 35 person group developing and maintaining fixed income / money wire settlement systems.
• Replaced late 1980’s systems with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and PATRIOT Act compliant renovated solutions.
• Piloted a distributed foreign exchange SWIFT money wire system handling $5B+ daily, first in the group.

1997-2003: Managed contracts, financials, and liaison to support a small “entrepreneurial” independent contractor group in Boston.
• System scaled from 5,000 trades/day (1998) to 750,000 (2007), with up to 50% reduction in operations staff.

1996: Coordinated securities processing roll-outs for new markets, working closely with senior Equity executives.

1992-1995: Promoted from U.S. and Canadian fixed income settlements IT group staff developer to team manager.
